Vietnamese Prawn Cones

Join us as we show you how to make Vietnamese Prawn Cones


What you need:


  • 1 tablespoon toasted peanuts

  • Bean sauce

  • ¼ cup yellow bean sauce

  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce

  • 12 round rice paper sheets

  • 18 cooked prawns

  • 1 bunch mint

  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

  • 100g rice vermicelli

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce


Here’s how you make Vietnamese Prawn Cones

  1. In a mixing bowl, add in 2 tbsp of water, sugar, hoisin sauce and bean. Mix well and set aside.

  2. Soak vermicelli noodles in a warm water for a few minutes then drain. Add in the lime juice and fish sauce.

  3. Soak for a minute with water your rice paper then dry in a clean towel or paper towel to absorb excess water. Distribute noodles into the rice papers together with the prawns and mint

  4. Roll the rice paper on the bottom and form a cone shape.

  5. Place in a nice plate and finish off with sauce and peanuts
