Vietnamese Pork Fried Rice (Com Chien)

  • 540 g(2½ cups) jasmine rice

  • 4(120 g) lap cheong

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 250 g frozen mixed carrot, peas and corn

  • 50 g(¼ cup) dried shrimp

  • 250 g barbecued pork

  • 1½ tsp white sugar

  • 3½ tsp chicken stock powder



Here's how you make Vietnamese Pork Fried Rice (Com Chien)

  1. Cook desired rice and set aside.

  2. In a pan, cook lap cheong for about 5 minutes in a boiling water or until it is softened. drain and let it cool. Slice thinly and set aside.

  3. In a heated wok, add in the oil and saute onions and stir-fry for a minute. Add in the vegetables and lap cheong and stir-fry again for 2 minutes.Put the shrimp and pork and mix in the rice and stir-fry for another 2 minutes and mix in the sugar and stock powder then serve in a plate.
