A sneak peak of a classical dish Rice Paper Rolls with Prawns and Green Mango (Banh Hoi Tom Nuong)
What you need:
12 sheets rice paper
1 green mango
1 green banana
12 medium green king prawns
12 bamboo skewers
12 cooked vermicelli noodles
6 garlic chives,
4 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp fish sauce
1 lebanese cucumber
6 lettuce leaves
2 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts
nuoc mam cham
Here’s how you make Rice Paper Rolls with Prawns and Green Mango (Banh Hoi Tom Nuong)
Saute the garlic for a few minutes. Let it simmer until the juice comes out.
Stick in the prawns in the skewers and grill for 2 minutes until done.
Plate in the vermicelli noodles and preheat in the microwave for a minute and drizzle with the garlic oil and top it with crushed peanuts
In a warm water, soak in the rice paper.
fill in on top of the rice paper the noodles, green mango, green banana, lettuce, cucumber and the prawns.
Fold the rice paper from bottom to top and both ends of the roll to tightly close the rice paper roll
Serve in a plate with Nuoc mam cham on the side for the dipping sauce.
