Grilled Lobster with Sate Sauce (Tom Hum Nuong Sate)

 

We will show you how to cook Grilled Lobster with Sate Sauce (Tom Hum Nuong Sate)

 

What you need:

 

  • 2 live lobsters

  • 200 g crab meat

  • 100 g dried shrimp

  • 25 g dried chilli flakes

  • 100 ml chilli oil

  • 10 spring onions

  • ½ bulb garlic

  • ½ tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ tablespoon fish sauce

  • 500 ml vegetable oil

  • 1 lemon

 

 

Here’s how you make Grilled Lobster with Sate Sauce (Tom Hum Nuong Sate)

 

  1. Chill the lobsters for about an hour and let it out to unfreeze
  2. In a saucepan, saute garlic and onions. Combine the crabmeat, shrimps, sugar, oyster sauce, salt and  fish sauce. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Then add the chilli oil and stir-fry for another 5 minutes.

  3. Use the Sate sauce for dipping or for soups or dressing

  4. Slice the lobsters lengthwise as well as its claws

  5. On a pre-heated grill, place your lobsters occasionally turning over the meat.

  6. Serve in a platter and drizzle the sate sauce with a squeeze of lemon.
