Sweet Corn Pudding (Che Bap)

Enjoying the afternoon with this Sweet Corn Pudding (Che Bap), learn how to make them


Here’s what you need:


  • 1 cup dried peeled yellow mung beans, soaked in water for 1 hour & drained

  • 1 cup coconut cream

  • 4 cups coconut milk

  • 12 young white corn

  • 150 g sugar

  • 1 tablespoon roasted white sesame seeds


Here’s how you make Sweet Corn Pudding (Che Bap)


  1. Shave the corn with a sharp knife and place them in  a bowl.

  2. Boil the mung beans and coconut milk for 20 minutes. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes until the mung beans soften.

  3. Pour in the shaved corn and churn for 5 minutes or until the pudding thickens. Lower the heat and let it simmer more for 10 minutes. Add in coconut cream and sugar the churn again

  4. Let it cook for 3 more minutes. Serve in a bowl and top it off with toasted sesame seeds
