How to Get There?
Cam Ranh International Airport is the nearest airport located 30 km far from the city. It was built on the grounds of the former American air base. Nowadays the airport serves domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, seasonal flights from South Korea, charter flights from Russia and Ukraine and international flights from Russia and China. The price for taxi from the airport to the city centre is fixed – nearly $18 (380,000 VND). As an alternative, you can use an airport mini bus: it will cost about $3 (70,000 VND).
Nha Trang is a part of the main railway line connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The train from Hanoi departs every day and lasts about 23 hours. The price for the ticket may be between $50 – 90, depending on type of the seat. The trip from Ho Chi Minh City will be nearly 8 hours long and will cost $24 – 45. Each of the cabin is designed with the air-conditioner. You can book a ticket on the website of Vietnam Railways System.
Children under the age of 2 can travel for free. For children from 2 to 9 years old the price will be 50% of the adult price.
Experienced travellers recommend to be specially careful with private travel agents. After all, you may end up in a hard-sleeper instead of the soft one, for which you have actually paid.

You can hire a car with a private driver (because according to the laws in Vietnam, visitors can’t rent a car and drive here) for $50 – 60 per day to go around or move inside the country.
Things To Do
Long Son Pagoda. This is a Buddhist temple with with a 24 meters tall statue of Buddha. It was built in 1963 to honour the monks and nuns who died during demonstrations against the Diem government. The statue is visible from most of the parts of the city and regarded as one of its the main sites. Free admission.

Po Nagar Cham Towers
Po Nagar Cham Towers can be easily called witnesses of history, as they were built in the end of XVIII century and are one of the oldest sites of the city. It is located on Cù Lao Mountain and consists of three levels, the highest of which encompasses two rows of towers. The main tower is about 25 m high. As legend says, it was built to honor the mother of the kingdom Yang Ino Po Ngar. Admission $1.

Nha Trang Beaches

Ba Ho Waterfall
It is located in the Ba Ho village, which is nearly 20 km North from Nha Trang. Hidden in the forest fascinating series of three waterfalls are definitely worth your time and travelling from the city. Except Ba Ho, you will also be impressed by Yang Bay Waterfalls (40 km west of Nha Trang), Fairy Spring waterfalls (20 km southwest of Nha Trang) and Thap Ba Hot Springs and Mud baths (4 km northwest of Nha Trang), so don’t forget to save some time for going around to see the natural wonders of Vietnam!

From the harbour you can take the cable car over to the island where Vinpearl resort and Vinpearl land are located.
